"Melydi was the best Nanny we had. My girls loved her! She came up with fun activities to help keep them entertained. She was willing to take them on outings to the park, pool, library, and lots of fun other places. She enjoyed baking, crafting, paying games and always seemed to have a fun knew idea.
It was great that my kids loved her but I also loved her. She was punctual and dependable. She had great communication skills and was open to feedback. She started when my kids were little and was great at following my nap time schedule. As my kids got bigger she was a huge help with school pickups.
Melydi stopped nannying for us only because my kids are in school full time. We were very sad to see her go. She was a wonderful addition to our family and we were sad to see that stage of our lives end."

"Melydi is gentle, kind, attentive, and genuinely fun for my kids. She's aware of details, (such as my kids' dairy allergy), and she's gentle, but firm with kids. She's flexible and fun-loving, but also able to maintain a general structure about how she does things. She's very respectful of differing parenting styles and genuinely invested into the kids she works with.
Although she doesn't nanny for me regularly anymore, my kids still love to see her. She's their genuine friend."

"Melydi watched my oldest daily for most of the second year of his life (while I was still working). She is still his favorite person in the world. She then became a frequent babysitter for nights my husband and I had business meetings, dates, etc after I stopped working as well. My kids love having Melydi watch them and request her whenever I need someone to watch them. I am confident in being able to leave them in capable hands."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up in a large family with 84 cousins, and was one of the oldest, so I took care of the younger ones a lot. I also have 11 nieces and nephews, and I watch some of them fairly frequently. And I myself have a 1 year old.
I started babysitting when I was 12, and I had my first nannying job at 14. Since then I've babysat and nanny'd for a few different families. My most recent job I had for 3 and 1/2 years for two darling girls. I watched them all through my pregnancy, and was anxious to get back to them after giving birth and introduce them to my sweet baby girl, who they affectionately call their baby. We're only ending this job because both girls are going to school full time now and the parents just don't have enough work for me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing pretend, age appropriate crafts, age appropriate games such as tag, hide and seek or puzzles, going to the park, drawing/coloring, reading books, swimming
The most important part about being a nanny...
I am happiest when I am with children, and I think all children deserve to feel loved and cared for by as many people in their lives as possible. I hope I can provide that for at least a few
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have a ton of experience, but I've cared for one child with epilepsy, twins with down syndrome, and a few different kids with ADHD and/or Autism. And my best friend's little boy is medically complicated and developmentally delayed, and I help with him a lot. We're actually currently learning ASL because he's hard of hearing
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many, I don't know how to choose one!
Most recently, the 4 year old I've been watching since she was a baby showed my 1 year old how to walk around the house with her feet in my shoes, then followed her around talking to her and making it a fun game for both of them
