More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My childcare experience includes owning and operating a licensed in-home daycare and later growing it into a drop-in childcare center, caring for children of various ages and backgrounds. I’ve also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing one-on-one support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
As a Household Manager for a family with teenagers, I helped managed the household while one parent traveled frequently. Additionally, I spent the past year as a primary care partner for an adult with Alzheimer’s, providing daily support and companionship.
These experiences have strengthened my patience, adaptability, observation, and dependability. I’m comfortable managing busy households, anticipating needs, adapting to changing schedules, and providing individualized care while respecting each person’s independence and dignity.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love activities that let children be curious, creative, and completely themselves. Arts and crafts, music, imaginative play, reading, exploring nature, and getting outside are some of my favorites. I also really enjoy getting to know a child’s special interests and learning about the things they’re excited about—whether that’s dinosaurs, bugs, animals, space, art, a favorite book or something I know absolutely nothing about!
I’m naturally curious myself, so I love turning a child’s interests into opportunities to explore and learn together. I try not to have a rigid idea of what an activity “should” look like. Sometimes the best afternoons are the ones where we follow a question, start a project, make up a game, or simply see where their curiosity takes us.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is genuinely enjoying children and enjoying the opportunity to know them as individuals. Children can tell when someone is simply going through the motions, and I believe they deserve a caregiver who is truly interested in them—their personalities, their ideas, their interests, and the way they see the world.
Of course, safety, reliability, communication, and consistency are incredibly important. But to me, the heart of being a great nanny is building a trusting relationship with a child and creating an environment where they feel safe, valued, understood, and free to be themselves. I want the children I care for to know that I’m not just there to take care of them—I’m genuinely happy to be there with them.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs. As a Registered Behavior Technician, I provided one-on-one behavioral support and therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I’ve also worked with children and teens in settings involving trauma and emotional challenges, including PTSD group therapy and cognitive assessments.
These experiences have taught me to be patient, observant, flexible, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and accepted, and I enjoy finding ways to connect with children and help them feel confident and successful.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite moments throughout my years of working with children have been the ones when I realized that we had truly bonded. There’s something really special about earning a child’s trust and becoming someone they feel comfortable with, look forward to seeing, and want to share their world with.
I’ve had the privilege of forming those kinds of connections with many children over the years, and I think that’s what has kept me drawn to this work. I love when a child starts to open up, shares their interests with me, or simply comes running through the door excited to see me. Those little moments are incredibly meaningful to me because they remind me that even though these children aren’t my own, I can still have a lasting and important place in their lives.
