More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Outside of working as a nanny, my childcare experience includes working at a daycare center as a floater, working as crafts director at a summer camp, and teaching dance to children ages 5+ as a musical choreographer.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to emphasize reading, either by reading to the children directly, or when they are old enough encouraging them to learn their ABCs, how to read, etc.
Outdoor time is also important to me, whether it be a stroll around the neighborhood, playing in the backyard, or going to a park!
Music time is something I also value, usually taking the time to play music at some point during the day, and facilitate sing-alongs or dance parties!
Arts and crafts are so fun when kids are old enough! I pick what is age-appropriate and then the kids and I go ham.
All of these activities I also love incorporating into outings- trips to the park or local libraries especially. Durham and Orange county's libraries have fantastic programming for kids, and I always take full advantage of them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping the children safe while helping them grow into happy, healthy, kind, and confident people!
The most important part about being a nanny...
It's hard to pick a favorite with the many wonderful families I've worked for and kids I've watched! Probably one of the most special was at my very first job, when I realized the little toddler I had nannyed for months could now say (a version of) my name. Mine was the fourth name he'd learnt- after "mama," "dada," and their dog's name!

Full-Time Nanny Available in Durham, NC: Falon S.
Hi there,
My name is Falon and I've been a nanny for over a decade now! I specialize in infant and toddler care but I've done it all. I am looking for my next position and a wonderful local family to share my skills with.
I am available to start May 27th, 2024. I am a morning person, so I prefer a 8am-4pm M-F schedule, but I'm flexible.
I pride myself in being a great nanny. I value teaching manners, promoting kindness and sharing. I enjoy teaching about nature and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
I am looking for a competitive salary and compensation package.
I started my current position when my daughter was 2 months old. I work for a family with a boy only 3 months older. This position has been the most joyful I've ever experienced but sadly, they are moving away. Ultimately, I am looking for a family that is just as excited to have my (almost 1yo) girl join me on the job and sees it as an opportunity to socialize our kiddos as they grow together.
