Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at my mom's school(s). I provided in-class support for elementary classrooms, including working with special needs kids. Activities included spelling, reading, writing, and fun activities in the classroom and on the playground. Worked with a second grader until she spelled her first words. I love being a “go-to” mentor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite indoor activities with kids are drawing, reading, and singing. Outside I love swimming, running, observing nature/playing with plants, and using our imaginations.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with some special needs children, I've worked with infants with Downs Syndrome as well as younger children who are verbal but on the spectrum. I haven't had too much work with special needs children but I would love to learn!
