More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience with children of all ages. most recently I took care of a one-year-old while her mother attended chemotherapy treatments. I handled diaper changes, meals, naps, playtime, and daily routines. I also worked as a manager at the largest athletic club in Wisconsin that operated both an afterschool program and daycare. In that role, I regularly interacted with and supervised children ranging from 3 months old through preteens, helping maintain a fun, structured, and supportive atmosphere for kids of all ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing creative and engaging activities with children such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, going to parks, walks, reading stories, imaginative play, and helping with homework and learning games. I also love having fun in the kitchen with kids doing small cooking or baking projects. I have a very active lifestyle and value being outdoors while the weather is nice, making sure kids are having fun while still feeling safe and supported!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a supportive, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable, cared for, and encouraged to grow. I believe strong communication with both the children and parents is essential, along with patience, consistency, and genuine relationships that create the best environment for everyone.
My experience with special needs children...
I’m always willing to learn each child’s individual routines, needs, and strengths to provide the best care possible. I have experience working with children of many different ages, personalities, and support needs through both childcare and structured program environments. Which helped teach me the importance of patience, adaptability, clear communication, and creating a calm, supportive environment where every child feels included.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was watching the little girl I cared for during her mother’s chemotherapy treatments grow from being very shy and dependent into a playful, expressive, and curious toddler. Spending so much time with her during such an emotional period for their family created a really special bond, and getting to be a comforting, consistent presence in her life was incredibly meaningful to me.
