My experience with special needs children...
i was a volunteer at my churches nursery and childrens church for quite a while. 3 of those years i was a “buddy” for special needs children. my job was to accommodate the childs needs and help them engage, interact with others, and practice self control.
i was special needs myself when i was very young. i struggled alot with ADHD when i was little. it was my biggest obstacle. i have learned how to control my impulses, discipline myself, and find ways to help me be more comfortable in a world that doesnt always accommodate me. i have tons of understanding and compassion for children with disabilities, or differences. 💗

The most important part about being a nanny...
one of my favorite moments while watching children was when i was volunteering as a leader in the childrens church (ages 6-12). i showed a little girl my sketchbook and she asked me to draw her so i did, and suddenly one drawing became like 20 haha. it was really fun to have the children in the room ask me to draw them and have them show their parents when they got picked up. of course i love to draw but i think i loved the fact that i was able to make 20 children feel happy and noticed more! :) 💗
