I first started mentoring children in high school in a “Big Brother” program for an 8 year old child whose father had passed away. Since then I started tutoring children in their studies, and then nannied for 2 wonderful families for close to 2 years, picking them up from school, making them snacks and meals, playing with them, and helping with their homework. I volunteered in my high school big brother program, where I mentored and guided an 8 year old boy for several hours every week. After that I volunteered as a camp counselor at a sleep away camp in Wisconsin for 5 weeks where I looked after a group of 12 thirteen year olds. Talk about a crash course in looking good after kids! xD
Since then I have worked as a tutor for children ranging from 5-18 years old, and have nannied both full and part time for children between the ages of 3-10

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing games with children. Whether it’s basketball, catch with a frisbee or a ball, hide and go seek, Rock Paper Scissors, hot or cold, music (I play piano and guitar), tic tac toe, going for walks, connect 4, and any other game that the child would have fun doing!
