I remember one day that I was babysitting a 2 year old boy, and I warmed up some spaghetti for him to eat. While I looked away for one second to get him a paper towel, he smeared the pasta sauce all over his mouth and chin and started laughing hysterically as soon as he saw the look on my face. One of the funniest nanny moments I have experienced, and I still think about it today.

My main goal is to teach your child as well as keep them safe. I understand there is a literacy problem in the USA so I’m really focused on teaching phonics and basic math skills. I don’t believe that kids should be sitting in front of a screen all day, it hurts their brain development more than people realize. When I watch kids I only allow 1 hour of supervised screen time.
I also encourage kids to eat healthy, I’m a no bs sitter. I have explained to the pickiest of kids why they have to eat the meal that has been prepared for them and I guess when you break down the nutritional facts and explain how each component helps them grow, they stop fighting about meal times.
