A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Michele. I am a state tested Nurse’s Aide with CPR and first aide training. I have experience working as a full time nanny of 5 children as well as working at a childcare facility where I was responsible for the care of 9-12 infants alone. I love children and provide a high level of integrity and quality of care. I ensure good communication with parents, am receptive to feedback, and comfortable with activity planning.

I have a 9 month old son who would have to be with me as I’m his sole caregiver, but this would not inhibit or distract from the care of other children. :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a lead teacher at a daycare facility. I was in charge of activity planning, artwork for parents and daily reporting for all babies present. Age group was infant to 1.5yrs, 9-15 babies were in my care.

Children are a huge part of my life and I care for each child as if they were my own. I believe in positive reinforcement and a gentle approach. I like to work with each family to cater to their needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities largely depends on age group. But in the past I’ve organized park or pool trips, craft days, outside play and games. I believe kids learn best through play and incorporate that in as much as I can to keep them engaged.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Communication with parents and actively engaging with the kids.

My experience with special needs children...

I have care for children who require medication, allergies supervision and well as children who are on the autism spectrum. I have a very empathetic heart and feel comfortable caring for a multitude of specific needs!
