A little bit about me

I may be new to this site but I love kids. It’s always rewarding to me when the child starts to understand that I am someone who is there to love and care for them. All while getting to know/learn their personalities and what makes them unique. I understand each child has needs and deserves to be loved, protected and cared for! I am the youngest out of four in my family. I am 23 years old. Currently, I am going to school here in Tahlequah. My major is media studies with a minor in 2D art! I hope to hear from you soon!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a floater for a children’s daycare center. I would feed, clean up and play with all the children in my assigned room. If there was conflict I was informed that we would need to get down to the child’s level and explain in the simplest way what the wrong and right things to do to friends at daycare. Then later in the day we would also make art as a part of the lesson plan. After that I would put the children down for a nap. Once nap time was over I would then give them an afternoon snack and some play time on the playground.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to sing, dance, play games and make art. I like to go outside for playtime too if the weather permits :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being able to love a child and let them know that I am a safe space for them. With me they are safe, heard and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time when I was trying to make a baby stop crying and feel better so they could take their bottle so I started to sing and make happy noises it stopped the child from freaking out and caught their attention. I was able to give them their bottle and pat them to sleep, it was a big achievement to me.
