Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher for three different daycares. I worked with infant to school age children. I helped preparing healthy snacks, nap schedules, diaper changes, art,circle and play time. I have potty trained over a dozen children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite activities with children are art projects. I love to get messy and have fun but i know when it's time to clean up. I love board games and card games. I love the outdoors, baseball, basketball, swimming,the beach.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is, the children's needs,wants and milestones. Working as a nanny the children come first. Communication with the family is key. If there is no communication, children,little tasks, and even day to day jobs will not work out.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children who have had Aspergers. When working with children who have this it was very important to slowly get the children involved. As a teacher working with these children, we slowly got them involved with sitting with other children at snack and lunch. During circle they would sit next to the teacher and another child. It was a day to day process.
I worked with children who have add/adhd. I had to work on when and what triggered the child. What soothed the child and when the child was at best.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment I had with a child as being a nanny is when I had this little boy and we were sitting at the counter and he looked at me and said "I love you". I told him "I love him" and he screamed for fifteen minutes that he loves me and only "only me can,love you!!!!!!!"
