"Mikaila is a hard worker, she’s great with kids and keeps them on a healthy schedule incorporating schoolwork, exercise, games and art into their routine. My kids were homeschooled and Mikaila helped them stay on track. She always picked up around the house and ensured the house was clean when she left for the day. She was a great fit for our family and the only reason her employment was short with us was because our daughter from college returned home and took over watching her siblings.
Mikaila was truly a blessing for our kids!"

"Mikaila was a joy to have as a mother's helper after my 7th child was born. She came to work each day fully prepared to help me with 2 toddlers and a 1st grader, as I tried to continue to homeschool my other children. Sometimes, she would help with the newborn or other older children as well.
Mikaila's talents (including, but certainly not limited to, singing, drawing, artful storytelling, imaginative play and an enjoyment of the outdoors) made her time with my children joyful and honestly memorable for a lifetime.
In addition, Mikaila was often very helpful with tasks like dressing children, diapering and bathroom trips, morning chores, making lunches, cleaning up after meals, morning walks to the park, and read-alouds. She helped diffuse conflicts between little ones, was flexible with schedule changes, and all-around, pleasant to be with.
Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with Mikaila's services to our family during our time of transition."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Presently, I am a teacher at the Early Learning Center for the School of St. Gregory in the Diocese of Tyler, Texas. I have gained ample experience working on lesson plans, child development sheets, and classroom management. However, I have been nannying since I was 18. I took a gap year to live in community with a christian organization that put on retreats for children in schools grades K- 12. I have had three families I worked for in Texas and still to this day have a strong relationship with every family and visit often. Lastly, I come from a family of 12 children and I ranked second oldest out of my siblings. Because of this, I deeply value long lasting connection and security. I am quite comfortable with caring for every age, including infants, adolescents, and every age in between. My caregiving skills are geared toward Montessori ideologies as I myself am a kinetic learner and strive to provide children with hands-on education of the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
telling stories at lunch time with all the kids eating their food and I would take them on epic stories while they sat quietly and listened to my stories and sometimes they would sit down for lunch early while I prepared lunch and cleaned up dishes. they would even help me so that I could sit down and properly finish.
