Most recently, I’ve been an older toddler teacher through a licensed childcare center in Maine. I worked with 14 students aged 2.5-3.5y with a floater as support. This included diapers/potties, meals/snacks, curriculum design and execution, efficient and clear communication with parents, as well as logging these activities, occasionally accompanied by photos or videos for updates.

I really enjoy sensory and imaginary play myself! I consider myself extremely reliant on student/youth-lead teaching because I find the most success that way. Not only do you build rapport quicker, learn the child’s preferences, but they’re having fun, not realizing they’re learning! For me this can be achieved through sensory and imaginary play, or even through music!
