A little bit about me

My biggest passion in life is caring for kids and always advocating for their well being. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. from NAU. I've had extensive experiences working with young children from preschool through 4th grade. Knowing how to have fun, be creative, and build a great rapport with each and every child I work with means the world to me. I'm a kid at heart which allows me to have the greatest successes when working with children. I would love the opportunity to share my experiences and passion with your family and three wonderful girls.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Yes I have extensive experience working with children. I have taught in preschool working with Pre Kindergartners. and some Kindergartners in a summer camp program. Additionally, I worked in a charter school which was geared towards Montessori learning. The teacher I worked with taught a mixture of Pre-k/ Kindergarten. I've also tutored students In Kindergarten and 1st grade in reading. Also, I have provided in home childcare for many friends kids. Additionally, I have been a frequent Substitute Teacher in the Washington Elementary School District focusing on grades Kindergarten through third grade.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing all different activities with children both inside and out. I'll play any sports with them whatever their interested in doing. We can play run and play in a backyard, jump on trampoline, play tag, or hide n go seek. I also love being in the swimming pool as well. I also love to cook and or bake in the kitchen. That would be a lot of fun for me to work with them doing those activities as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is being able show your passion and love for children. Being a nanny is a job like none other as you get to know your families and their kids in a more intimate way. You become a trusted family member and a part of their daily life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children that had learning disabilities and on a couple occasions children that were gifted as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Since I've never been a nanny previously I can share my favorite moment with a child. It came early on in working with education. I was helping a friend who taught Kindergarten at Encanto School. There was a young girl who was the nicest and sweetest most well behaved girl I've ever meet. We bonded very quickly in the classroom and I remember getting an invitation to her birthday party. It was the sweetest thing ever and I was so humbled that she thought that highly of me as her teacher.

Marieke L. - Seeking Work in Phoenix

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Phoenix, AZ: Marieke L.

Hello there! I'm a 23 year old female living in the Phoenix area with extensive experience working with children.
After high school, I nannied for two families as-needed, and worked as a travel nanny over the summer.

Most of my experience with children comes from working in after school programs, summer camps, and in-school enrichment programs for the last few years throughout the Phoenix area.

I love cooking and coming up with creative, healthy meal prep ideas, and I've worked in kitchens and restaurants. I am a vegetarian, but very laid back and happy to cook meat for your family if needed.

I also have experience cleaning professionally for a bed and breakfast, so I don't mind doing light household tasks.

I am most comfortable working with older children, as I have little experience with those under the age of 1.
