My name is Miriam, I am 24 years old, and looking to find a full time job as a nanny. I have always been drawn to jobs in childcare and education. I love academics, and I have a goal of getting myself back into school as soon as possible. I come from a big family of 5 kids. I love reading, sports, exercise, cooking, traveling, and trying new things! I am looking for a family that I can grow with.

I am currently an RBT working in special education. As much as I love the work I do, the field is unfortunately underpaid and I’m interested in making a career shift to allow me to level up my life in other ways!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been an occasional babysitter since my senior year of high school (2019). I then worked for one year as a juvenile corrections officer, gaining experience in high stress environments and learning behavioral and safety skills. I then transitioned into special education working as a paraprofessional and now as an RBT. I also work part time currently as a childcare attendant at a gym. This has given me experience with all age groups and children with different needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to be active with kids. Whether that be going on walks, playing sports, going to a park, etc.. I also love any opportunity to learn something new with kids, or to encourage their passions. I love to bake, cook, paint, and read! I think community outings are great opportunities for kids to learn and have fun. (:

My experience with special needs children...

I worked at a private school for children with special needs as a paraprofessional. I learned skills to help navigate ADHD, ODD, and other learning/behavioral needs. I currently work in ABA therapy as a registered behavioral tech for children with autism.
