More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
have 10 years of experience in early childhood education, including 6 years working at a Montessori school and experience at two early childhood development centers. My background has given me a strong understanding of infant care, child development, and creating nurturing, engaging environments for young children.I have also provided care through various nannying and babysitting positions, giving me a well-rounded background in nurturing and supporting children at different stages of development.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a variety of activities with infants, like reading books, singing songs, doing sensory activities, playing with toys, and spending time outside. I also like doing simple activities that encourage their development, such as tummy time, exploring different textures, stacking or sorting objects, and practicing their fine and gross motor skills. I really enjoy interacting with them, talking to them, and following their interests while they explore.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong sense of trust with both the child and the parents. I believe being consistent, dependable, and communicative is really important, especially when it comes to keeping parents updated on their child’s progress, development, and day-to-day experiences. I want parents to feel comfortable knowing their child is in a safe and supportive care
My experience with special needs children...
I have limited experience working with children with special needs, but I’m a very fast learner and a patient, understanding person. I’ve had some experience working with children who have high allergy needs as well as some developmental needs, which has taught me the importance of being attentive, adaptable, and following each child’s individual needs and routines. I’m always willing to learn and take guidance to make sure I’m providing the best care possible.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of being a nanny is seeing all the practice and encouragement behind a child’s developmental milestones finally become a reality. It’s so rewarding to watch them learn something new, accomplish something they’ve been working on, and see how proud and confident they become in themselves. Those little moments of progress are some of the most meaningful parts of caring for children.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Minneapolis, MN: Livana M.
Hi!
My name is Livana and I am a full time worker at New Horizon Academy. I am CPR certified and first aid certified. I have been working in the infant room working with babies from 3 months to 16 months, and am very good with babies but would love to experience working with kids a little older too. I want to switch from a center to nannying to be able to focus on just a few kids and build a stronger bond with them than I'd be able to in a center enviorment. I am currently studying early childhood education at Minneapolis College (and passing). My hours will have to work around college, although most of it is online, I have one class at 4:30 p.m Tuesday's and Thursday's. I have worked with kids with behavioral issues but have yet worked with kids with special needs. I also have 2 dogs and have worked at a doggy daycare, so I'm more than comftorable being in a home with dogs. I can't wait to meet and provide for your family!
