I worked as a private at-home nanny for a young girl with autism, caring for her Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. I became her primary caregiver while her parents were at work, learning her routines, sensory needs, and food preferences. I focused on keeping her calm, engaged, and supported throughout the day. I also communicated closely with her parents about her behaviors and developmental needs, which helped them begin exploring evaluations for her disability. I even joined the family on vacations, gaining experience supporting her in new environments while keeping her routine consistent.

I enjoy hands-on activities that help kids learn and express themselves, especially sensory play, arts and crafts, simple science activities, and outdoor time. For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust and providing a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children can grow and be themselves. I believe in meeting each child where they are, supporting their needs, and working closely with parents to make sure their child feels understood, supported, and cared for every day.
