Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have lifeguarded for over 3 years. In my lifeguarding experience, I have come accustomed to supervising children for their safety. I am CPR/first aid certified. I have taught young swimmers throughout my summers on my local swim team. I also come from a large family with 15 cousins under 12 years old. I have grown up caring for them. I have helped the covid babies in my family readjust to normality. This past year, I have spent my semester working for a family I met on Nannylane. I babysit 3 year old once or twice a week (emphasis on teaching him English!)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games with children, running around, and being active. I like to be involved with children's imagination and use that to my advantage to connect with them. I am up to date with serval children's shows, music, and toys since I am aware of what my younger cousins enjoy doing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping the children safe, occupied, and on track for the day/task at hand. And building a bond with a child where they can view me as a role model and I can teach them what I know.

I do not have experience with special needs children, but I understand the level of patience that comes along with learning. I am willing to do so.
