A little bit about me

Hello, I am Namora Thompson, I have graduated from Duke Ellington School of the arts and will be attending Bowie state for medical school. I love children, and animals. I am patient, and have siblings who have special needs and other family members, I have cared for animals and children since the age of 9, but took it more seriously and continued it far better at around 14-15, where I cared for family friends and neighbors children’s. Please reach out, I really like to get to know the child from the parent’s perspective first before we talk about wages or schedules. I also cook, clean and take children and pets out to places to get social, if allowed. Thank you!!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at daycares before, neighbors children’s and once babysat my teachers child while she was away for a meeting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Drawing, Painting, Activities outside, Sports they are good at, they can probably teach me better than myself!😅, Learning how to cook foreign dishes or sweets together. Childhood games that I used to favor!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of my nanny experience is socializing children to other people, and allow them to explore and interact the way they, themselves feel comfortable with the pace they feel most confident with.

My experience with special needs children...

My brother is austistic/ADHD, so is my cousin and my other cousin, all three have different spectrums. I have worked with some nonverbal children, or children who have extreme difficulty hearing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I was babysitting two children at once, a five year old and a four month old, and the five year old asked if I wanted to sleepover, because he didn’t want me to leave. 🥹 That brightened up my life so much.
