More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Beyond my professional experience, I am a proud mother of two — my son is 24 and my daughter is 10. Motherhood has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a structured, nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. I understand the importance of trust, routine, and emotional care, and I treat every child with the same respect and attention I give my own.
In addition to my 10+ years of experience as a Health Care Aide, I have also cared for children in both professional and personal settings. As a mother, I have hands-on experience raising and supporting my own children, managing daily routines, meals, school schedules, and activities.
In my caregiving roles, I have also supported families by providing supervision, preparing meals, maintaining a safe environment, and engaging children in age-appropriate activities. I am comfortable organizing routines, assisting with homework, and encouraging positive behavior.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading stories, doing crafts, baking, outdoor play, and creative activities that allow children to express themselves. I also love helping them build confidence through small achievements, whether it’s learning something new, completing homework, or developing new skills. I believe in making everyday moments fun while maintaining structure and safety. I believe children learn best through play, conversation, and positive encouragement. I like creating a balance between structured activities and free play, so children feel both supported and free to explore their creativity.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important qualities to be a nanny are patience, responsibility, and trust. A nanny plays an important role in a child’s daily life, so it is essential to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment.
Good communication with both the children and the parents is also very important, as well as being reliable and consistent. I also believe it’s important to be positive, engaging, and able to support children’s development through activities, routines, and encouragement. A good nanny not only keeps children safe, but also supports their emotional well-being, development, and daily routines. I believe in creating a structured but positive environment where children feel secure, encouraged, and understood.
Strong communication with parents is also key, as well as the ability to adapt to each family’s needs. I bring patience, responsibility, and a calm approach, and I truly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel confident.

My experience with special needs children...
Through both my professional healthcare experience and motherhood, I have supported children and individuals with additional needs. I am patient, calm, and attentive, and I understand how important structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement are. I work closely with families to ensure routines and strategies are followed properly, always prioritizing safety and emotional support.
I approach each child as unique, and I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where they feel understood and respected.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is when a child accomplishes something they’ve been working hard on — whether it’s learning to read a new word, tying their shoes, or feeling brave enough to try something new. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I helped create a safe and encouraging environment for that moment is very special to me.
I also love the simple everyday moments — reading stories together, laughing during a craft project, or hearing about their day. Those small connections are what make caregiving so meaningful to me.

Babysitter Available in Edmonton, AB: Sera E.
Hey there! I’m a trained child caregiver who genuinely loves working with kids. My recent experience includes caring for an active 4-year-old boy, as well as an 8-year-old with special needs. Because of this background, I’m very comfortable with kids who need a mix of high-energy play, patient guidance, and structured daily routines. Every child is different, and I like to meet them where they’re at—whether that’s learning through play, staying active, or following a quiet routine.
I’m reliable, professional, easy to talk to, and I always show up on time. If your child has specific routines or needs, I’m happy to learn what works best for your family.
I’m currently seeking part-time clients. Feel free to reach out with your schedule and location—I’d love to see if we’re a good fit for your family!
