My mom is an elementary school teacher and when I was in 8th grade she'd have me come to her work after school to help tutor kids. I also have 2 younger siblings (13 and 5) and basically raised them whenever my parents got to busy.

My experience with special needs children...
I haven't babysat anyone yet with special needs, however my step sister I've watched over a few times while my parents were away, I also had some friends in high school who were special and I would help if they ever needed anything and a teacher wasn't present at the time.
