More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a preschool/daycare for three years, caring for multiple children ages ranging from 9 months-12 years. I also have babysat for many families on multiple occasions, including date nights, errand running, and doctor's appointments. I also recently was a nanny for a family with two girls, 4 and 1. I handled after school pickup, dinner, pet care for their puppy, and bed time routines for the girls.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to take the kids on nature walks/stroller rides and go to the park, and at the preschool, we liked to have dance parties, or color and do crafts. For older kids, scavenger hunts are my favorite activity, or playing board games. I also love to bake with kids when they are old enough.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe trust is the most important part. Trust from the parents, that I am able to keep their child safe, trust between myself and the child to ensure they feel safe and comfortable with me, while also teaching them the valuable lesson of earning and accepting trust. Trust in me, that I am willing and able to care for a child while their parents are away and have fun while doing it.
My experience with special needs children...
I have been around special needs children often as my dad is a pediatric occupational therapist. I do not have any professional training, however, I am willing to learn.
