In Highschool, I volunteered as a “Pal” through Leadership Club, where three days a week I visited young students and played games with them, read to them, talked with them, etc. these kids were most likely the ones in class who may frequently have behavioral problems, trouble making friends, or trauma at home.

picnics, coloring, swimming, movies, parks, playgrounds. I even have Season pass to Universal Studios!

Being a friend. Allowing the children to have positive role models, and someone safe to be there for them.
My experience with special needs children...
My little brother has ADHD and Autism. He also takes prescription medication daily, that I administer if parents are busy/unable. I am able to read his body language and understand his needs often before he has to verbally tell me. He has taught me patience and kindness.
