I have cared for children that had Autism and Down Syndrome. I have also worked in the nursery at my father's church, also being a part of the Sunday school programs with children ages 4-12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to go to the park with children and push them on the swings or spin them on the merry-go-round. I also like reading to them or having them read to me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching the child(ren) to read, write, and learn all sorts of stuff! I love educating kids on things like the names of colors or answering their questions (as silly as some may sound, I believe it is important to answer even the silliest of questions, so that the child(ren) can learn more about things they are inquisitive about)!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for special needs children with Autism and Down Syndrome (one of said children having a mix of the two). I am familiar with schedules and how they work for the parent and also the child.
