Hello! I'm an experienced babysitter/nanny with at least 4 years of experience. I have experience caring for children of various ages, caring for multiple children at once, and caring for children with special needs. I have worked in child care settings and have also been hired privately as a nanny. My hobbies include creative writing, baking, and exploring nature. I have lots of patience and great listening skills which I find allows me to communicate excellently with children. I graduated high school valedictorian in 2025 and I currently hold a full time job, though I am looking to switch career paths to something that better suits my interests. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a student mentor for two years at my local elementary school where I gave children my time and attention so they could learn to better express their emotions in a safer and more regulated way. I was also an elementary classroom aide for half a year. For this internship, I spent time in an ESL classroom helping some students learn English and helping other students with learning disabilities. I also worked as a youth gym coach for a year where I taught safe and effective exercises to children ages 3 to 13. Overall, I have about 5 years of experience with babysitting and privately hired childcare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to let the children decide what activities they are interested in. I will supervise if that's what they prefer or I will join in to make it more fun and engaging. If I choose the activity, I lean towards crafts and reading books. I also enjoy physical exercise such as running, jumping, sports, and exploration. I'd rather not sit kids in front of a screen as I prefer hands on creativity and innovation.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making the children feel safe, seen, and heard. While the actual job is to help out the parents, the center of any good nannies attention should be on the children. They deserve to feel safe with other people in their house. They deserve to have someone listen to their worries and give them a hug when they need it.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children who have ASD and ADHD. I have helped children who have trouble communicating their needs through words and I have worked with other children who have rough home lives and need extra attention. I have also learned how to handle children who have trouble paying attention, following directions, or listening to adults.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was watching a young girl who didn't speak English. She was wary to trust anyone, especially me. One day everything shifted when she got too tired to walk so I picked her up and carried her. After that, she always greeted me with a smile on her face and eagerness to see what adventure I would take her on next. I loved this moment in particular because it shows that language doesn't have to be barrier.
