More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started out working with children in the New York public library. The library provides an afterschool program from 2:30pm-7:00pm (hours vary by location) and I was in charge of taking care of about 15-20 children. The age range was ages 4 to 12 and I would tutor kids and do activities with them. I then went to a different location to be a library page where I also helped out in children’s programs. I am now an assistant preschool teacher.

I love being able to do creative crafts, indoor/outdoor games, or any project to keep them moving or busy!
My experience with special needs children...
In the first afterschool job I worked at, I had about 3-4 kids who were special needs/autistic. In the beginning I was quite young since I was in high school, but it didn’t take long to be able to understand the children’s needs and ways to help them. It might be difficult at first since I have to get to know the child but I have a smooth time afterwards.
