Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

l have over 4 years of experience back in Zimbabwe of taking care of kids as well as working as a volunteer at church during sunday school for kids.Here in the US l worked with the Sandburg Family from Nanny Lane for a year in Potsdam NY taking care of their beautiful baby girl.At the moment l am working with the Chifamba family in Pataska taking care of their 2 boys.I am looking for extra time to work preferably during night times and weekends.

I enjoy doing both indoor and outdoor activities with kids—things like reading stories, drawing, playing simple games, helping with homework, going for walks, visiting the park, and doing fun creative activities that keep them engaged and happy. I love creating moments where children can learn, explore, and feel supported while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel valued and supported. I believe in building real connections with each child, understanding their unique personalities, and helping them grow with patience, kindness, and encouragement. Being trusted by a family and becoming a positive part of a child’s daily life is something I take to heart, and I always strive to make every moment meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with autism, and those experiences have taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm, supportive environment. I focus on understanding each child’s unique communication style and sensory needs, and I adapt activities to help them feel comfortable, engaged, and confident. Whether it’s helping with routines, offering gentle redirection, or celebrating small milestones, I always aim to provide care that is respectful, nurturing, and empowering for both the child and their family.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little one I cared for finally said my middle name for the first time and ran to give me a hug. It was such a sweet reminder of how much trust and connection can grow between a child and their caregiver, and it made me feel truly appreciated in what I do.
