Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside, doing crafts, playing games, schoolwork, and baking.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Building a relationship with the family is very important to me. I am a very relational person and it’s important for me to know the family I am working for. Because being a nanny is very different than a lot of other jobs, you are kinda becoming a part of the family, and you watching someone’s children which is a huge responsibility and privilege. I don’t view being a nanny as just a “job” but I am honored to come along side the parent/parents as I watch their children and ensure the kids well being and safety.
My experience with special needs children...
While I am not certified or specifically trying to work with children who have special needs, I do have experience working with them. I had worked with children who have autism, adhd, and Down syndrome. I also have a sibling who is on the spectrum.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite memories are doing crafts with them and seeing the joy they have doing them. Another favorite memory is just building things out of a box out Legos together and seeing what all we could build. Seeing the babies I watch take their first steps and laugh.
