A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Natalie. I have been a preschool daycare teacher and a Nanny for 10 plus years. The last families I worked for told me that their children have loved having me as their nanny! The parents of those children said that I have been the best Nanny that they have had for their children. I come from a big family and I take care of my family too! I spend time working on crafts, scrapbooking, traveling, reading, watching movies with my family and playing board games with them too! As well as, taking walks and hikes and playing with my dog! Growing up I have had many jobs and lots of experience in them. I’m a hard worker and a go getter. I graduated high school with a secretarial scholarship award. I have been known to have my picture in the newspaper for news carrier of the month back when I was in high school. I also worked at bookstores and helped one clean up after a flood that made the news all those years ago. I’m also certified in CPR and First Aid.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a preschool teacher for a couple different preschool daycares and a Nanny for families. I also have been a primary teacher and have worked in the nursery as well at my church as a volunteer.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to read to children and we play with their toy cars, trains, play kitchen, and play imagination at the child’s request where we can be a fire breathing dragon one moment and the next a firefighter, policeman, paramedic, or even ourselves but as a grown up driving a car to a store on the child’s car play mat or pretend we are flying from one state to another according to the child’s imagination or even play pretend chef at a restaurant. We like to go outside and kick a soccer ball or another ball, ride bikes, go for walks to the local neighborhood park, throw a frisbee, and etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being able to be there for the child or children when they need it and listen to what they have to say at the time. Lending a listening ear and understanding what the child or children are trying to convey. Being there for them while their parent(s) are working and or going to school. Loving that child or children like they were your own or even part of your family.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a special needs child who has been autistic and many others depending upon their needs even if they are high functioning or need to be fed and communicate through blinking their eyes. I also have taken care of a young child before who is deaf when I was younger too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’m not sure that I have just one favorite moment as a nanny because I focus on each child their age and needs. I love it when they make me laugh. I love building memories with them that will last a lifetime! When the parent asks me to take their children places on a daily basis to entertain them for a while whether it is just going outside or getting in the car and I drove them to different parks, the local Zoo, library’s, stores etc. Even to just pick up groceries for the parents. Especially, when the parent tells me that they would love it if I took pictures of their children and what we are doing at the time for a keepsake memory! I send those pictures and videos to the parent(s) of their children and the activity that we are doing at that time of day. I only did it when the parents asked me too. The kids loved being in the pictures and showing their parents what they did with me at that time! Memories Made to last a lifetime!
