A little bit about me

I am a mother of five adult children and three grandchildren. One of my grandchildren is autistic and I'm very familiar with the challenges that comes with autism.
I'm a retired correctional officer that is still certified in CPR, first aid, mandated reporter, as well as volunteering for CASA (a volunteer advocate in the system for the child that provides detailed information for what is best for the child(ern) well being and development).
And past I have worked in head starts and miss working there. I have also done volunteer teaching for the 7th and 8th graders in Columbia South America.
When I'm not working, I love to: do my arts and crafts; baking; learn ballroom dancing; being outdoors whether with my pets or obtaining the opportunity to ride a horse; and planning trips to visit my children and grandchildren.
