My experience with special needs children...
I am a peer partner at my high school through a program where we go to classes with special needs kids (we get assigned a specific student to work with for the semester) and we help them with in-class assignments, homework, tests, quizzes, and help better understand the class in general. i work with a student in her science class. this program doesn't only give the special needs student someone to help them understand, but it gives them someone who they can talk to and trust. it gives them a friend
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite nanny moment was when i was watching 3 siblings (2 girls, 1 boy) and they were playing hide and seek and the youngest (girl) couldnt find her brother and sister so she said she wanted me to help. i knew exactly where they were but she was 2 so its understood lol. she walked around the corner into a room and ran to me because she heard a noise and got scared. then her brother and sister popped out from behind the door and the smile she gave was the sweetest thing!
