More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children of all ages through several childcare roles. I currently work as a Head Camp Counselor for my local community center's summer camp, where I supervise groups of children, lead activities and field trips, and make sure every child feels safe, included, and has fun. Before that, I worked at a daycare caring for children ages 12 months to 3 years, helping with meals, diaper changes, naps, learning activities, and daily routines. I also worked in an elementary school's after-school program, where I supervised children, assisted with homework, and planned engaging activities. In addition, I spent four years as a lifeguard, becoming CPR and First Aid certified while learning to stay calm under pressure and always prioritize children's safety. These experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, and how to build trusting relationships with both children and their families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that keep children engaged, curious, and having fun while encouraging their growth and development. Some of my favorite activities include sensory play, arts and crafts, reading books, singing songs, dancing, playing outside, going on walks, exploring nature, building with blocks, imaginative play, and age-appropriate games. I also love getting a little messy with fun activities like painting, water play, baking, and creative projects. I enjoy creating activities that help children learn new skills while allowing them to explore their creativity and personality. Most importantly, I love creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can laugh, explore, and make happy memories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting relationship with both the child and their family. A nanny is not just someone who watches children, but someone who helps them learn, grow, and feel supported. It is important to be patient, dependable, and attentive to each child's individual needs, personality, and routine. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, valued, and encouraged, and I strive to create an environment where they can explore, be themselves, and make happy memories.
My experience with special needs children...
Through my childcare experience, I have had the opportunity to work with children with different personalities, learning styles, and individual needs. I understand that every child develops at their own pace and may need different levels of support, patience, and encouragement. My experience in daycare, after-school programs, and summer camp has taught me the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued. I am patient, adaptable, and willing to learn each child's unique needs and routines to help them feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite moments is when you reach that connection with the kids and form a bond it is truly something special!
