A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Natalie. I am 30 years old, married, a dog mom, social worker, and most importantly a Christ follower. I have been a nanny on and off for the past 17 years. My experience ranges from babies to teens. I am educated in child development and how to support children in developmental growth. My approach is more hands on than "keeping a child occupied" while on the clock. I enjoy doing crafts, science experiments, and outdoor activities. I am comfortable with watching up to 3 kids at a time. I have a reliable vehicle that can accommodate car seats if needed.
I also do light house cleaning such as: laundry, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, mopping, sweeping, and dusting. In addition I can also do grocery shopping, carpooling, and light cooking. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a middle school social worker/guidance counselor. I have also worked with CPS in the sex trafficking unit (completely different than regular CPS cases).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor outings to the park, zoo, bike riding, basketball, fishing, scavenger hunting, etc. I also enjoy doing science experiments, arts and crafts, baking, and dress up, dance parties and so much more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is getting to be a loving extension to the family. Being able to nurture and love on the kiddos and help parents feel at peace while they step away to provide for their family, knowing their children are safe and well cared for is vital in my role as a nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked at a camp for special needs children ranging from deaf and hard of hearing, blind, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. I also have experience working as a registered behavioral technician for children with autism by implementing ABA Therapy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time I took the kiddos I was caring for fishing and was showing them how to bait the hook, cast, and reel in. As I was reeling, I felt the hook tug and thought it got stuck on some grass, but to my surprise it was a 5 pound bass!! The kiddos were simultaneously amazed and grossed out. (We released it).
