Throughout my 3 years of high school I took a class that taught in the WeeWolves preschool program at Timpanogos in Orem. It was my absolute favorite class with the most amazing teachers and kiddos. I took the class the max amount of times as possible, that I ended up having to take an internship just so I could keep teaching my favorite little balls of joy!! It was such an amazing experience and I learned so much from it.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids on adventures! No iPads no meaningless busy work, but real life play all while learning real life skills. We’ll go to the river and play with water and bugs, then we’ll go to the store and learn math and money while buying groceries to work together to make a meal. We’ll Make up games together, and play in the park. Children’s brains are so moldable and so curious they just want to play, and so do I!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I really do think the most important part of being a nanny is creating good childhood memories. A kid doesn’t see a good nanny as a teacher or someone that’s just watching over them. They see them as a friend. They do learn a lot with that friend, and that friend is watching over them making sure they’re safe. But a friend helps create good times and lasting memories. So why not be a nanny and a friend.
