Hi! My name is Nevaeh Johnson! I’m 20 years old located in Spring Hill! I’ve been working with kids of all age's and babysitting for years! I cook, clean, and nurture like it’s a passion. I’m also excellent at reading out loud lol! Not only have I been a babysitter/nanny since about the age of 13 but I am also a big sister to my 4 younger siblings. The older one being my little sister who is 18 and the youngest being my baby brother who is 13 months! He just turned one. The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a nanny is this. At the end of the day safety, trust, and happiness is and will always be the number one goals. I will always provide a safe environment around your child, no matter where it is, if they are with me it’s like taking care of one of my own. I will always provide a space of trust between parents and littles, trust is so so important when it comes to being a nanny. You put your trust in me to care for your child, in or out of home, with our without parents, it will always be a big deal. And lastly I will always do my best to strive to keep littles around me as happy as possible. Everyone has bad days but I’ll always strive to make sure your kiddos are happy while babysitting and when I leave. If you don’t enjoy babysitting, you shouldn’t do it. Littles aren’t going to have a good time if you are miserable around them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a high spectrum non verbal child with autism. He is 8 years old today and I’ve been babysitting him since he was around 6 years old. He is a very sweet boy and also happens to be my little cousin. He had problems of hitting and eloping really bad. I’ve learn that the only way to learn how to baby sit a child with autism that high on the spectrum is to learn how to read them, and adapt. It’s their world and we live in it. With Joel connection was key. I’m a lover and a fighter. Which means it take a lot for me to give up, and I mean ALOT. I’ve never been slugged in the face so many times in a row I also know that I’ve never had so much fun learning how to help him and care for him. (He gave lots of cuddles which made up for the hitting in my book lmao)

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite activities I love to do is concerts! It doesn’t matter what age you are music will make things better and way more fun. Dancing and singing, (getting a some of that energy out) I swear sometimes you can’t even hear the music over the giggles. I like to learn favorite songs and sing them tunes, or silly songs whether it’s Disney or something from ms Rachel If I don’t already know it (which would shock me) I’d have it learned by the end of the day.
