I love finding things we all like to do. Some of my favorites have been going to the zoo or aquarium, checking out local parks and walks around the neighborhood when we are wanting to leave the house. When at home I try to bring things to do. I always have a box of chalk in my car and lately have kept a small tye dye kit in my car as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked closely with kids that have been diagnosed with autism. In those cases I have a good meeting with the parents before to go over things that work and don’t work. I like to keep a chart that works towards a fun reward that both parents and kid agree on.
