To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and loving relationship with both the child and the family. Children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and cared for—and I believe that kind of connection is at the heart of great childcare.

It’s not just about supervising or helping with routines; it’s about being a positive role model, providing consistency, and supporting each child’s emotional and developmental growth. I have experience working with children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. Through this work, I’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each child’s unique strengths and challenges. The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was watching a child I cared for take their first steps. I had been working closely with them, encouraging tummy time, cheering them on during those early wobbly stands, and celebrating every little milestone. When they finally let go and took those first few steps toward me, the excitement and joy on their face were unforgettable.
