I am an experienced Early childhood teacher. I worked for 10 years in schools varying from preschool 3/4 year olds, kindergarten and first grades. I love working with young kids and helping foster their imaginations and helping with early literacy and math skills. It is rejuvenating to spend time with young children and experience the world through their eyes. An ordinary experience (encountering a butterfly or a spider) can spark art projects and reading material for hours! I am patient and work with children's social emotional skills to help them regulate and learn how to cope with big feelings. I have nannied for a family in the past (before I went into teaching) and have two grown children of my own. I am a very youthful and energetic 40 something mature adult, ready to use my experience to work with one family for a long term commitment.
