More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a mother of 5 children. I have 4 daughters and 1 son. Aging from 7 to 22 years old. I also have a 4 month old grandbaby that is so fun. I have watched friends, family, and neighbor children for working parents for many years as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
With my own children I love to get them outside and seeing the world. We love to go on walks and trips to the parks. I also love doing crafts and fun little projects with my kids. One of my favorite things to do is bake and cook. Although not all ages of children are able to be safe in the kitchen, I do think that it can help, with most children, to start teaching them young. I think getting children excited about healthy foods, cooking, and baking is a big part of helping them grow and learn for their future.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, in my opinion, keeping children safe is first and foremost the most important part of having any child in your care. After that, I think a schedule is important. Even if that schedule has time allotted for dancing and having fun, that time is important! I also think that children thrive on a good schedule. Just part of being organized with the day.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a lot of experience with special needs children. I have only assisted others who were main care takers. But that isn’t to say that I wouldn’t be interested in learning and working with any amazing child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had one little 3 year old boy that I watched for a neighbor friend three days per week. When he would leave he would hug me around my legs and say, “I love you!”. It was so cute and fulfilling. His mom was a friend, and loved that he was happy with the person that was watching him.
