More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Just recently, I was transporting a 13 yr old home from school and attending to her needs while doing light housework; from 10/2019 through 3/2020. Also, separately, I cared for a little one @ 3 to 5 months old; from about November through January.

Elementary School Counselor Intern 9/16 - 5/17
School Bus Driver (10 yrs)
Substitute Teacher (1 yr)
Children’s Ministry Teacher (3 yrs)
Live-in Nanny (5 months)
Daycare worker(2 yrs)
In College, began a degree for Elementary Ed & Early Childhood Ed, where I went into classrooms to do observations and teach a Junior Achievement program to the Elementary Children.
In high school, I helped in the Elementary schools working with children during a scheduled hour and for after school homework assistance.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to do all kinds of activities with children from singing and dancing to playing games and doing arts and craft activities; also going to parks or playing outside with whatever is available (sand, bikes, playground equipment). I like to have fun and to be creative with kids, so that they can learn how to be creative and have fun while learning and exploring new things or new ways to do things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ultimately the most important part of being a nanny is to love and care for the child(ren). Children are very vulnerable and look to the people that care for them to guide and nurture them with full reliability, they are totally dependent. I am genuinely interested in providing a safe, caring, loving environment to promote and foster success for every child.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for special needs children as a substitute teacher and as a bus driver.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was a live-in Nanny for about 5 months while the dad was away for business. The most memorable moments were when the older of the two was trying out different sports. I took him to gymnastics and soccer. It was so fun watching him learn these new sports.
