Hey future families! My name is nihjaya most call me Jay I’m 22 years old I love and adores kids and pets. I have experience with taking care of children ranging from new born up to 15 years of age including twins and multiple children at one time, private educator kindergarten - 3rd grade, overnight care and I have experience as a day care teacher. I was a teacher at a day care. I worked with children from newborns- 15 years old. I taught English, Spanish, sign language, letters, numbers, and writing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to calm down children and help them understand their emotions. Kids are little human beings with BIG emotions and often times, they have a hard time regulating themselves when they are having a bad day. As a nanny it’s important to be patient with them , validate their emotions and give them healthy grounding methods. Kids are allowed to have bad days just like adults. I believe in developing emotionally healthy children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment is when I was working with my 3-4 year old class and they all ran up to show me their beautiful art work and then we took pictures to send to their mommy’s and daddy’s I love doing pic mail (with permission of course! ) so the parents know what their kids are doing and learning!
