me and my 2 girls i nanny went to a kids hair salon together to get our hair braided. it was so nice just seeing how happy they were. one of the workers asked one of my girls if i was her mom or sister…she immediately responds “yea she’s my family, well not technically, she’s my nanny but i love her so so much” and just started to like brag about me. her sister joined in and was agreeing…coming from a 7 & 8 year old it definitely made me super happy to hear how much appreciation she they have for me. its my favorite moment because that was when it clicked how much love i had for these girls and how that love was reciprocated.
