In high-school I used to peer tutor the special needs class and help with math homework. One of my students really connected with me and we are still close two years later.

She was the smartest girl and would always be so helpful, one day she pulled me aside from class and had me meet her mommy personally. She told her that she loves me and how much fun we have together. That family then later had me watch her after school before they got home from work.
