Hello my name is Noni, I’m a store manager at Claire’s, and also known as “every young girls dream store”. I am 20 years old, and I get to go to work everyday and just talk to kids. Some of my responsibility included helping children shop, hosting birthday party’s, hosting makeovers, ear piercings, as young as 3 weeks old. I have seen every situation you can imagine, when pertaining to children, mostly because of my job’s consumer base. But also because I have 6 brothers and sisters, I was the exact middle child. From a young age, my dad would work, and my mother stayed at Home to homeschool. My mother had a friend that I started to nanny for at age 8. I watched the girls for years and I got the chance to help a very overwhelmed single mother take care of 2 really cute girls. I have an enormous amount of energy, and experience with children. No matter the situation, I am equipped to handle it!

Sarah was a single mother with two young girls. I was eight, and I was homeschooled. She was a friend of my mother’s and it started off as me just babysitting. I am one of seven children, and I am the middle child. By the age of eight I was already helping my mother with my 3 younger siblings, so to baby sit for Sarah was an absolute breeze. Quickly our arrange morphed from every so often, to everyday, coming over watching the girls, cooking and cleaning, and helping her not stress about the maintaince of her house or girls. Instead of coming home to more work she got to come home to a relaxed space we’re she could enjoy the company of her daughters

The most important part about being a nanny...

Knowing how to handle a child. I have seen a lot of nannies ignore children instead of tellling then what is happening, or acknowledging the child. Or constantly being on your phone, and not actually watching the children. Being inactive, disregarding, disrespectful, and just being non-progressional in the persuit of the child’s best interest. I want to be a guardian as well as a good influence. The younger years are the most impressionable on a child’s mind, and to be a nanny you most take into consideration every situation you put yourself in, or around the child that is in your care.

My experience with special needs children...

My youngest sister was born at one pound, five ounces. She has special needs and a learning disability. She is the sweetest, most well mannered young lady I have ever met.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Me and a girl I nannied made a dance routin, cartwheels and back bends included! We performed in front of her mom when she got home. She cried when she saw it because she had always been afraid to perform in front of anyone including her mom.
