Is making sure the children are comfortable and feel safe with you, being away from your parent can be a very stressful thing to adjust to. Expressing emotions and acknowledging their feelings is so incredibly important, I love sending my parents occasional photos of videos throughout the day to not only soothe the child but remind the parent that every thing is okay and your babies are having fun while thinking of you.

Definitely any time I get a text message from a parent saying the children brought me up in conversation, it’s amazing knowing I make an impact on my little buddies. They’re always so excited to see what we’re going to do the next time I come over! My favorite moment in particular would have to be with a previous toddler I spent time with, her favorite movie was shrek and she always referred to him as an “og-ee” instead of an ogre and we would always have the biggest belly laughs about it.
