More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a behavioral youth counselor in two residential group homes which has given me experience with children who have not always had a stable environment and it was my job to provide that and slowly gain their trust.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to facilitate fun and educational activities for the children to participate in under my care. Whether it’s a nature walk or an art project, I try to make sure the children are not bored and are excited for what the next day has to offer.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Developing trust and open communication between myself, the parents, and the children.
My experience with special needs children...
My first experience with a special needs child was an infant with spina bifida that I cared for in college. This child taught me so much and is part of the reason I chose to go into the psychology field. Since then, I have Worked with many children on the spectrum or with other challenges such as fetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, and ODD.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the sweetest moments I can recall is in my early days of childcare when I was trying to coax a 14 month old to sleep and I was telling her to close her eyes and dream of puppies and ice cream and whatever else that makes her happy. She looked up at me and whispered, “toys”. It was such a sweet moment because I could tell she had understood what I said and chose her own happy thought. I cherish moments like that.

Hi there! I'm Kendall and I just moved to the area. I am originally from Buffalo, NY and although I do not have experience with nannying in particular, I do have babysitting experience and love kids. I'm currently in my last year of schooling which is online so I'm flexible for hours that will fit your needs. I am very hard working, love kids and animals so if you have a dog I'm sure we could become best friends in no time! I am very active at the gym and before COVID, was volunteering at an animal shelter. I am a very laid back person who enjoys spending time just hanging out at home or walking in the park having a coffee. I would love the opportunity to care for your child(ren) while you run errands, work or need a night out!
