The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the child is getting every standard of care with the love and support it needs. I do love goofing around and being silly with the kids but it is my number 1 priority that they are cared for at all times.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for kids with autism and ADHD. I even have a brother who is autistic so I deeply understand what it is like to be around them and caring for them. It can at times difficult but that is what is so great about this job. It is that you will always get to meet new people that are different but is so fun learning and enjoying how they interact and thier mannerisms.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh my goodness, it is when you one day you talk to the child you are taking care of just a little fact about you or what you did. And they remember and talk about it with another day or even weeks later, it just shows me that they care and listen. Just makes it so much more special to me!
