My relevant childcare experience includes nannying for a local family, babysitting for local families, and working with children through programs at my college. As a nanny and babysitter, I have helped supervise children, keep them safe, follow family routines, and engage them in fun, age-appropriate activities.
I have also participated in a summer volunteer program at my college where we hosted activities for elementary school students, including games, crafts, and other structured activities. This experience helped me become more comfortable working with groups of children and creating a positive, welcoming environment.
Additionally, I am involved in a Lunch Buddy program where I eat lunch with second graders and give them tours of my college campus. Through this program, I have enjoyed building connections with younger students, being a positive role model, and helping them feel comfortable in a new environment.

I also like helping children learn new skills in fun and engaging ways, whether that means working on a creative project, playing outside, practicing a new game, or exploring activities that match their interests and age level.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment where children feel comfortable and cared for. I believe it is important to be dependable, patient, and attentive to each child’s needs while also helping them have fun, learn, and build confidence.

My favorite nannying moment was putting together a talent show with a family of young girls I babysat for. It was such a fun way for them to use their creativity, stay active, and enjoy spending time together. I loved seeing them come up with their own performances, encourage one another, and feel proud of what they created.
