Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In high school, I was in a Pre-school class where I worked with kids ages 2-5. I had taken three years of this class, twice as a student and once as a teacher's assistant. Over the summer of 2022, I was a full time nanny to two lovely children aged 7 and 10. In the spring semester of 2023, I part time nannied in the mornings for two 5 year olds girls, a 7, and 10 year old. Over the summer of 2023, I nannied for two families of kids aged 3-5 throughout the week. I continued to babysit for these two families throughout the school year. Amongst these two families, I part time sat for a 1 and 3 year old( with autism)as well as another family with a 9 month old, 2, and 5 year. During the winter of 2024 I part time sat for a 6 month and 2.5 year old. Over the Summer of 2024, I am a current nanny to a 4 and 6 year old as well as a 2.5, 6, and 6 year old part time.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Doing something active has always been a big one for me. I've noticed I enjoy playing games such as board games or going outside to play sports or simply just moving around to release some energy. I also find it calming to watch television and eat a snack. I'm very open to what ever is needed.
My experience with special needs children...
I part time sat for a 3 year old boy with Autism two days a week. Along side me, an ABA tech came as well.
