Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

PERKINS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: I spent a year volunteering my time as a tutor to underprivileged children in San Diego. I wanted to make an impact in my community by ensuring that every child has the opportunity to access support that is needed for a dignified education. CHILDREN'S SPECIAL OLYMPICS: For one season, I coached a child in track and field who experiences disability in the greater Boston area. It was as much of a rewarding experience for me as it was for her. INDEPENDENT TUTOR: From [phone number hidden] I worked in Marin county as an independent tutor for elementary and middle school aged children. GIRLS ON THE RUN: During my time in college, I volunteered for Girls on The Run to help out with events. GOTR is an organization that fosters leadership, learning and sportsmanship through running for girls in the San Diego community.

The most important part about being a nanny...

…is creating memories with children that will last a lifetime! My goal when working with a family is for their child to be able to look back at the time that we spent together as fun and filled with learning moments. The ability to influence a child's future through my care means everything to me. Children are our future!

My experience with special needs children...

I have coached a child in the children's Special Olympics who has Cerebral Palsy and is non-verbal. Through my experience working with her alongside her parent's support, I was able to establish a positive coaching relationship with her and learn a lot about how people who experience disability navigate life. In addition to this, I also have experience caring for children with ADHD and hearing loss.

The most important part about being a nanny...

was experiencing my first Hanukkah alongside the children! It was so fun and cute to see the kids being excited to share all of their traditions, food and games with me.
