CHILDREN'S SPECIAL OLYMPICS: For one season, I coached a child in track and field who experiences disability in the greater Boston area. It was as much of a rewarding experience for me as it was for her. GIRLS ON THE RUN: During my time in college, I volunteered for Girls on The Run to help out with events. My experience with special needs children...
I have coached a child in the children's Special Olympics who has Cerebral Palsy and is non-verbal. Through my experience working with her alongside her parent's support, I was able to establish a positive coaching relationship with her and learn a lot about how people who experience disability navigate life. In addition to this, I also have experience caring for children with ADHD and hearing loss.
The most important part about being a nanny...
was experiencing my first Hanukkah alongside the children! It was so fun and cute to see the kids being excited to share all of their traditions, food and games with me.
